Today we’re 10 months old! Only two more months ’til out 1 year birthday! We’re so excited we could scream! Speaking of scream – we hope there’s lots of ice cream at our party that day – we love that stuff!

One highlight from this month is that Yaya now likes to play peek-a-boo – she’ll play with objects by ducking below them or by bringing cloth things over her head and then pulling them down. Mimi is starting to stand by herself without holding onto anything.

Today we turned 9 months old! We’re getting very close to our first birthday now! We’re spending a lot of time crawling around faster than Mommy and Daddy can walk, walking around furniture, and babbling on about our day! 🙂

Today we’re 8 months old! We’re 2/3 of the way to our 1 year birthday! Pretty sophisticated math for 8 month olds, huh? 🙂

Just a quick update on our new abilities (things have been happening so fast it’s been hard for Daddy to keep up, so excuse the lack of updates!):

We’re now crawling around freely on all fours – no more “soldier” crawling! 🙂 We’re also both able to sit up from a crawling position. And we can pull ourselves up to a standing position using the coffee table! We’ve also started “cruising” around the coffee table. This morning Yaya was able to take a few steps with only the help of a walking toy!

It seems like it won’t be long before they’re running circles around Mommy and Daddy! This is all so amazing to watch – and they’re not even 8 mos. old yet!! 🙂

Tonight during bathtime (which we have together on the weekends because both Mommy and Daddy can be there to help us), Mimi was making waves in the tub by slapping her hand into the water over and over again. Yaya was just trying to stay afloat!

Both girls are now taking their first steps (with help, of course). When an adult is holding them up, they are able to put one foot in front of the other. When holding onto the coffee table, they can also step towards it WITHOUT any help! 🙂

Thanks to the NOT-SO awesome Free Perl Guestbook site, our new guestbook is broken. 🙁 Daddy’s on the case…for now, we’ve taken away the ability to sign it, because for some reason, it was only showing the last four entries. Luckily, we were able to salvage the entries that are already there and we’ll re-add them when we get the problem worked out.

In the coming weeks, Daddy plans to put a guestbook on our site so that all our friends can let us know when they visit!

In other news, Mommy and Daddy went to see Napoleon Dynamite today. They said it was a great movie filled with lots of laughs – although they said it was a little slow-moving. 😉

Oh yea…and more new pics (and a video – it’s a big one – over 5MB!)!!

Update: Daddy figured out streaming video! So, that last video is MUCH smaller (only about 400kb) now and you can view it MUCH faster because it doesn’t have to download all the way before it starts! Be sure to check it out (it’s also available from the group gallery). We also updated Yasmine’s video from a long time ago. Expect lots more videos from us now that we have this available.

Daddy has signed us up with a new web host. As soon as our new domain becomes available and is online, we’ll unveil our new address right here! We’ll also leave a forwarding page at this address so that you don’t get lost and you can update your bookmarks! 🙂 The new host is going to have 100x more space than what we have now (5 gigabytes to be exact – daddy says that’s a lot!) so that we can store more pictures and videos of us as we grow. We’ll also be able to set up a guestbook so that everyone that visits us can leave a message and say hi! We’ll let you know as soon as we move – keep watching… 🙂

Mommy and daddy saw Spiderman 2 today while grandma watched us (we couldn’t go because mommy and daddy said it was too loud for us). They said it was very good so we’re very excited to see it someday, too!
