Happy (belated) 4th of July!

We all had a fun (first) 4th of July! We got to watch fireworks on tv (mommy and daddy said that live ones would be too loud for our young ears) – we liked all the pretty colors and patterns that they make. It reminded us of our baby einstein videos that we watch!

The other day, we read a story with daddy and helped him turn the pages in the book after he was done reading each one. He was pretty amazed, but really, we just wanted to see what was on the next page! We can also hold our sippy cups on our own and roll over from front to back and from back to front. Mommy and Daddy also bought us our first play gym – we had lots of fun with that on the 4th! They’re trying a new sleep schedule with us now, too – they’re making us go to bed early (8:30pm) – so far, we’ve slept through the night 3 out of 3 nights that we’ve tried – Mommy and Daddy are very happy about that! 🙂

NEW PICS!! Check Mia’s, Yasmine’s, and the group sections – and don’t forget to look back a few pages as there are quite a few new ones! There’s also a new “image of the day” in the top left corner – daddy finally figured out how to make this look correct again, so maybe he can update it more often now! 🙂

Happy Father’s Day!

Happy 1st Father’s Day to our daddy, from Mia and Yasmine. 🙂 🙂 Just like for Mother’s Day, we spent the day with family and all ate lunch together. Daddy received a new photo printer that he and mommy will use to print out lots of lab-quality pictures of us girls!

The girls are four months old today. Unfortunately, Mommy and Daddy are out of town, but they’ll certainly be celebrating with Nana and Tata! 🙂

2 Month Doctor’s Appointment

Off to the doctor’s office today for a weigh-in and the excruciating first round of shots. Mia weighed in at 10.5 lbs. and was 22.5 in. long while Yasmine was a half a pound and a half an inch behind her at 10 lbs. and 22 in. After the weigh-in came 4 vaccination shots – EACH! Luckily, the nurse was very quick and it was all over (but, the crying) within about 15 seconds for each girl. They did very well, though, and were completely calmed down by the time we left the office. 🙂

Our First Smiles!

Today on daddy’s way out the door, Mia and Yasmine both gave him a few smiles to think about while he is out of town for the next few days. Giving them kisses and saying, “YAY!” works pretty well for getting the grins to come out.

Unfortunately, it seems to be an if-they’re-in-the-mood type of thing so we don’t have any smiling pictures yet, but we’ll post them as soon as we get some!

Happy Anniversary Mom And Dad!!

Today marks the 4th wedding anniversary of Anthony and Noelia. This year has certainly been the most eventful for us with the high point obviously being the birth of Mia and Yasmine. It’s absolutely amazing how fast time flies (especially when you’re having fun) – it seems to have gone even faster in recent weeks… 😉 While 4 years is by no means an eternity, it does feel like quite some time ago that we were saying our vows in the park. We’ve since lived at 4 different addresses, had 5 different jobs and 5 different cars between the two of us, and (most importantly) made 2 beautiful baby girls. It’s definitely been a full 4 years!

Not to get mushy on anybody, but we really are some of the luckiest people I know. We have a wonderful marriage, two wonderful little girls, a wonderful dog, a great house, and great jobs. I know I speak for the whole family when I say that we wouldn’t trade a bit of it for anything in the world. And somehow, amazingly enough, it still manages to get better and better year in and year out. Feels like a dream…

P.S. Lots of new pics today!!
